George Balanchine's The Nutcracker — New Year's Eve Matinee

New York City Ballet's George Balanchine's The Nutcracker plays a 2:00 PM matinee on New Year's Eve at the David H. Koch Theater. The roughly two-hour production follows young Marie into a dream world of mice, swirling snow and sweets, set to Tchaikovsky's score, with the famous growing Christmas tree and children from the School of American Ballet. The Nutcracker runs Nov. 27, 2026, through Jan. 2, 2027, with public sales opening Sept. 28, 2026. VIP Sweet Seat bundles are also offered.
