NYC's first municipal airport becomes a giant canvas for one night only. The Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy and the National Park Service present the second biennial Floyd Bennett Field! Public Arts Festival on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 6 PM to 9:30 PM — a free, family-friendly evening built around a playful take on "dinner and a show." From 6 to 7:30 PM, bring your own picnic to the Hangar Lawn or join The Longest Table, a collective outdoor BYO dinner, with music and lawn activities. From 7:30 to 9:30 PM, newly commissioned digital artworks are projection-mapped across the brick-and-glass façade of historic Hangars 3 & 4, exploring themes of water, nature and innovation. Note: the projections include bright, moving and rapidly changing light.
