LuminoCity Dino Safari Festival

LuminoCity Dino Safari returns to Walt Whitman Shops in Huntington Station, Long Island, from September 2 through October 18, 2026 — its fourth year at the site. The outdoor festival fills nearly three acres with more than 70 animatronic and illuminated dinosaurs, some up to 45 feet tall, plus light displays, six inflatables led by a 25-foot Volcano Bounce, an Octopus DJ booth with an LED dance floor, Dino Speedway and Safari Dig. This page covers Friday, September 4 — the festival's first Friday, and one of two Dino Story Nights presented with Huntington Public Library, with dinosaur-themed storytime sessions at 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM. Friday hours are 5–10 PM. The site is at 160 Walt Whitman Road, is ADA-compliant and has free parking; children three and under get in free. The festival is closed Tuesdays.
