The Knickerbocker's Saints & Sinners party is the closest thing to a private balcony over the ball drop: the 1906 hotel sits at 42nd Street and Broadway, and its rooftop looks straight down the Times Square bowtie. Entry is tiered by arrival time at 8:00, 9:00 and 10:00 PM, running to 1:00 AM. Packages start around $2,350 and include food and open bar across indoor rooms and the rooftop. It is priced as a once-in-a-lifetime view rather than a night out, and it sells out early. 21+, formal dress code, official hotel ticketing only.
